Weekly Updates!

Garden Time: Tomorrow our class will be working in the garden. Please send your child with appropriate clothing. It will probably be a bit muddy.

Zoo Field Trip: Field Trip Forms went home last week. Please return permission slips by May 8th. This field trip is open to all parents (and younger siblings) to attend. I will have room for a couple of parents on the bus, but most parents will need to provide their own transportation. Please feel free to meet us at school in the morning and follow the busses to the zoo. Parents will also need to pay the entrance fee at the gate. Thanks to the PTO, this field trip is completely free for your child.

Chicks: Our chicks are on schedule to hatch on May 8th! We have been tracking their progress and candling the eggs to see what is growing inside. The students are so excited for their arrival! If you are interested in adopting one or more of our chicks, please let me know.

Caterpillars/Butterflies: Our caterpillars have turned into chrysalises over the weekend. They will stay in their chrysalis for 7-10 days before hatching. I will update you soon on the date of our butterfly release date.
