Happy Halloween!
I loved seeing some of you at the Fall Festival! THANK YOU so much to all the parents that helped to make the Fall Festival so successful this year! Everyone looked so great in their costumes!
Halloween: Halloween is tomorrow. Please remember students are NOT allowed to wear costumes to school. We will be doing lots of fun Halloween learning and science to celebrate!
Field Trip: Our field trip to The Cave of the Winds is this Wednesday, November 1st! Please make sure you send your child with a disposable lunch if you did not turn in an order for a school made lunch. Students will also need to bring a disposable water bottle. Please make sure your child's lunch bag and water bottle/s have their name on them. Also, please pack two snacks for your child for the bus ride. Snacks also need to be in a disposable bag with names. Nothing too messy for snack please! We will be leaving no later than 9:30, so chaperones, please arrive at school with your child. We will be back to LES around 2:15. I am so excited for this trip! The students will be learning about caves, bats, rocks, and other interesting facts about the cave's history. It truly is a remarkable place. It will be chilly on Wednesday, so please make sure your child has a jacket and/or sweatshirt for the field trip.
October Reading Logs Due: Please have your child finish filling out their October Reading Logs. I will be collecting and sending the November Logs home on Thursday.
Book Bags: New Book Bags will be sent home tomorrow. The parent who helps with the book bags is unable to come in today and will be in tomorrow to pull new books for students.
Spelling Words: I will be sending home new spelling words today. We will be working on these words for 2 weeks. We will take our spelling test on these words on November 10th. Please practice these words over the next two weeks.
No Math Homework this Week: Happy Halloween, there will be no math homework this week!! Yea!!
