Weekly Updates 4/9

Here are a few announcements for the week:

Zoology Field Trip: We are heading to the Zoology Foundation on Wednesday, the 11th! This is just a half day trip, so we will be leaving after lunch and returning around 2:30. Have you child bring their backpacks to school like usual. We will have literacy and specials in the morning before we go. PLEASE PACK A SACK LUNCH FOR YOUR CHILD! We will be having a picnic outside before leaving. We will be eating before the cafeteria opens, so students will not be able to purchase lunch on Wed. Also, I encourage packing a water bottle and the usual 2 snacks. Students need to wear comfortable walking shoes. We will be outside most of the time, so sunscreen will also be a good idea!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Trip: Just around the corner is our end of year Cheyenne Mountain Zoo trip! This will be on Wednesday, May 9th. Mark your calendar if you are planning on joining us! I will need some chaperones willing to take a group, so let me know if you are willing to join us! If you are not wanting to chaperone, but still want to come, you can meet us there. I will send out more details about timing when the date gets closer.

Boot Tickets: Boot Ticket sales will end soon! Make sure you purchase tickets if you plan to attend! Hope to see everyone there!

Chick Update: We candled our eggs last Wednesday and we have 13 chicks on schedule to hatch with 3 more possible (we can't see inside the 3 green eggs that we have.) We will candle the eggs again this Wednesday and hopefully we will have the same numbers. If you are interested in adopting some of our chicks, please let me know.

Seesaw: I'm sorry for the lack of pictures lately on Seesaw. There just never seems like enough time in the day to get everything done. I plan on catching up this week, so I'd like to apologize ahead of time for the abundance of pictures coming your way!
